Cypress Lucky Mutt Rescue Northeast

As a registered rescue in the state of New York, CLMR has transported over 1,000 puppies and dogs to loving homes in Upstate NY and the surrounding region.

How Our Transport Process Works

Step 1

Rescue and Prep in Texas

Every dog is rescued, fostered, quarantined, and fully vetted in Texas before making the journey north. Each animal is examined by a licensed vet, receives vaccinations, and is issued a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) to ensure they are healthy and cleared for interstate travel.

Step 2

Safe Transport

Our insulated, climate-controlled van is driven by CLMR-approved drivers who travel directly to New York with scheduled safety stops along the way. Fully vaccinated dogs receive bathroom breaks, while younger puppies are carefully monitored and kept clean and comfortable throughout the trip.

Step 3

Matching in the Northeast

Once in New York, our Northeast volunteers work closely with our Texas team to review applications and thoughtfully match each dog with the right adopter. Most travel directly to their forever homes, while some are welcomed into foster homes until the perfect match is found.

Not ready to adopt? Foster!

Some animals only need a place to stay for a few days, while others require a longer commitment.

We consider your home situation and do our best to match you with a puppy or dog that's a good fit - just as if you were adopting.

Food and supplies you may need will be provided, as well as any vetting that may come up. All we ask is that you supply the love!
